Today was the first day of school for the boys. New books, pencils, crayons, backpacks, uniforms and whatever else the teachers need were purchased and hauled to school today. Son #1 settled in quickly and reacquainted with old friends, barely noticed me and Son #2 leaving.
Son #2 happily entered his school anxious to see his old friends and teachers yet still a little shy. But what a difference from a year ago. No crying out loud, no clinging to the neck, no prying arms away. Yes, I controlled myself very nicely this year!
